Accompanist
Clint Kimmel
Clint Kimmel is a Senior Church Music major from Richardson, TX. Before becoming accompanist in the spring of 2009, Clint sang bass in the choir. This year, with his continuing responsibilities as accompanist, Clint serves on the officer team as President. In addition to Men’s Choir, he is a member of the Baylor A Cappella Choir and also directs the Baylor Religious Hour Choir, an auditioned group of singers and instrumentalists from across the University. Feeling called to be a minister of music, Clint has served on the music staff at FBC Montgomery, Alabama and is currently the Minister of Music at Chalk Bluff Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.
Clint has studied piano for fourteen years with teachers Jane Abbott-Kirk and Janet Dugger. As an accompanist, Clint has served numerous schools and churches including Baylor University, First Baptist Dallas, Emmanuel Baptist Church, and J.J. Pearce High School. He has also studied organ with Joyce Jones and voice with Jack Coldiron and Jared Schwartz.
In his spare time, Clint enjoys working with professional audio/lighting equipment, reading, and going to Baylor athletic events. His professional affiliations include ACDA, TCDA, and TMEA. Upon graduation, Clint plans on pursuing a master’s degree in choral conducting.
